LOS PUEBLOS DEL MAR - The sea people

No se sabe a ciencia cierta de donde venían pero migraron hacia Oriente Próximo durante el 1200 a. C. Navegaban por la costa oriental del Mediterráneo y atacaron Egipto durante la dinastía XIX y especialmente en el reinado de Ramsés III, de la dinastía XX. Las crónicas egipcias nos hablan de los "Peleset" los Filisteos de la Sagrada Escritura, también citan a los "Shardana" que colonizaron Cerdeña. En la imagen aparecen dos guerreros de estos pueblos invasores. A la izquierda un Filisteo y a la derecha un Shardana.


No one knows for sure where they came from but migrated to the Middle East during the 1200 a. C. Plying the eastern Mediterranean coast and attacked Egypt during the XIX dynasty and especially in the reign of Ramses III, of the Twentieth Dynasty. Egyptian chronicles speak of the "Peleset" the Philistines of Scripture, also cite the "Shardana" that colonized Sardinia. The photo shows two warriors of these invading peoples.
